Baton Rouge House Leveling is a referral service for foundation repair and house leveling around Baton Rouge. We are not a contractor. We don't evaluate houses, price jobs, or do any of the work. What we do is narrower: we listen to what you are seeing, and we route your request to one licensed local foundation specialist who can come out, look at the house, and put a quote in writing.
How a request moves
- You call or send the form. Call (225) 535-8057 or use the request form. Tell us what you are seeing — cracks, sloping floors, sticking doors, water under the house, or just a feeling that something has moved.
- We ask a few questions. Where the problem is, roughly when it started, whether the house sits on a slab or is raised on piers if you know, and anything that happened recently, like a leak or high water.
- We route it to one specialist. Your request goes to one licensed local foundation specialist — not a list of companies that all call you at once.
- They evaluate in person and quote. The specialist schedules a visit, looks at the house, and gives you a written quote.
- You decide. Whether to hire them, ask more questions, or get another opinion is entirely up to you. Nothing is owed to us either way.
Why one specialist instead of a bidding list
Many lead services sell the same request to several contractors, and the homeowner spends the next week fielding calls. We route each request to one specialist instead. That keeps the process quiet for you, and it means the person who comes out knows the request was meant for them.
One specialist does not mean one opinion forever. Foundation work is a significant decision, and getting a second evaluation before you sign is reasonable. If you do, compare the two written quotes line by line rather than by the total — the cost page explains why two honest bids can differ.
The standards we ask of specialists
These are the standards we ask a specialist to meet before we route requests to them. They are expectations, not guarantees, and you should confirm anything that matters to you directly with the specialist.
- An in-person evaluation before any price. No number over the phone for a house nobody has looked at.
- The construction type identified and the cause explained. Slab-on-grade and pier-and-beam are repaired differently, and the likely cause of the movement should be named in plain language.
- A written, itemized quote. Separate lines for each part of the job, laid out below.
- Licensed and insured. Ask to see current proof before work starts.
- No pressure. Time to read the quote, ask questions, and decide.
What a quote should itemize
Whoever evaluates your house, the quote should separate these four lines, so you can see what each part of the work is for and compare one bid with another:
- 1Evaluation findingsWhat was measured and found — elevation readings, crack locations, construction type, likely cause.
- 2Drainage / moisture correctionGutters, grading, downspouts, or crawlspace moisture work that addresses why the soil is moving.
- 3Structural repairPiers, shims, or sill and beam replacement — with counts, locations, and depths stated.
- 4Finish / cosmeticDrywall, brick, trim, and door adjustments after the house moves — priced on its own line.

What we are not
- Not a contractor. We don't perform foundation repair or house leveling.
- Not an inspector or engineer. We don't assess your house or its structure.
- Not a pricing service. The ranges on this site are published figures, not quotes.
- Not a party to your contract. Your evaluation, quote, contract, schedule, and any warranty are with the specialist you choose to hire.
If that sounds like what you need, call (225) 535-8057 or send the request form. Questions first? The FAQ covers the common ones.
